Flat Blades are typically used for removing flooring like VCT, epoxy coatings, and other material that easily separates from the rest of the flooring during tear out. They are also a great option for re-scraping adhesive. Flat blades can be used for removing materials like broadloom carpet or sheet vinyl, but the user will need to prescore the flooring to take it up efficiently.
Our standard, .062” thick flat blades are ideal for Walk behind scrapers, and can be very effective in smaller/lighter Ride-On scrapers as well (like our ES 1300). However, for larger riders the Heavy-Duty blade option is a better choice.
