Advanced Self-Scoring Blade – Heavy Duty

Self-Scoring Blades have vertical wings on either end of the blade that cut vertically through the material as the horizontal blade removes it from the floor. This is the best option for materials like Carpet, LVP, Sheet Vinyl, and other materials that do not easily separate from the rest of the flooring. 

The Advanced Self-Scoring blade (AKA the Hook Blade) has our patented “Hook” design incorporated into the vertical wings of the blade. The hook design provides more cutting surface in this area, allowing the cutting edge to last longer and users to take up more material than with a basic self-scoring blade. The hook blade can be used in any size cutting jaws as the self-scoring wings only extend about two-thirds of the blade length.

The Heavy-Duty Hook Blades are best used with Ride-On Floor Scrapers due to the weight of the machines being too much for the thinner blades to handle.

Note on width of Self-Scoring Blades: We make the self-scoring blades about ½” wider than the listed blade width. For instance, 10” blades measure about 10.5” between each self-scoring wing.
