This floor stripping machine weighs in at 425 lbs, is self-propelled in both forward and reverse, and the speed can be controlled by pressure on the handle grips. The handle can be adjusted to six different positions including a storage position. This makes the machine easy to operate for users of varying heights or in cramped job sites, and easy to store when being transported. The components of the machine are simple and robust, with no complicated electronics, chains, sprockets, etc. ensuring a long service life and fewer maintenance issues. The machine operates on 120 VAC power supply and comes with a 50-foot, 12-gauge extension cord.
Additionally, the user can quickly remove 194 lbs from the scraper making it easy to lift and move with a partner. However, moving at up to 52 ft/minute the machine is no slouch even if the user needs to remove a large amount of material. Additionally, with its lighter weight, the ES 400 Floor Scraper is a great option for working over wood and other soft subfloors because not all subfloors can handle the weight of large equipment.
