What is the ES 2000 floor scraper?
We designed the ES 2000 with common floor scraping problems in mind. Some of these include:
- Machines that are heavier and larger than necessary
- Instability due to a high center of gravity
- Inconvenient places for attachments
- Batteries that are difficult to access for maintenance
Our ES 2000 machine is a battery-powered, ride-on floor scraper that weighs just under 2000 pounds, making its weight low enough to transport in most standard passenger elevators. Our patented Forward Slope Technology (FST™) maximizes the performance of the machine by keeping heavy-duty support structures close to the line of force, allowing the machine to operate more efficiently. This gives the scraper the ability to perform the same work generally reserved for a larger weight-class machine without the extra bulk. The lower center of gravity makes the machine safer and more comfortable to operate, and the compact design allows the user to access the seat without the need for a step stool! The integrated cargo deck provides a convenient place to put extra blades and holders and is coated in durable, non-skid material.
Another important feature of this machine is our Advanced Dual Lift (ADL) system. This allows the user to hydraulically adjust both the height and the angle of the blade. Our ADL system is integrated into the design of the ES 2000, and not an additional attachment that has to be added to the front of the machine. As a result, the machine can maintain a short length, which makes it easier to maneuver, and since it is incorporated into the machine, you don’t need to purchase it separately.
Battery power of the ES 2000 floor scraper
The ES 2000 has a 10kW battery pack which allows the user to get up to 8 hours of runtime. The operator can charge the pack from 0% to 100% in about 10 hours using the onboard 110V, 20-amp DC charger (included with the machine), or they can use up to a 60-amp charger on 220V for a faster recharge time. We use deep-cycle AGM batteries in this machine. A typical cycle life expectancy for an AGM battery is about 400 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, but the batteries in our ES 2000 are capable of 1200 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, allowing the user to get a lot more use out of their investment before they need to replace batteries!
Flooring types for the ES 2000 floor scraper
The ES 2000 floor scraper is a great machine for all flooring removal contractors and rental centers. It performs best on all types of floor coverings, including difficult ceramic tile, wood, resilient floors, and coatings. While the ES 2000 has a smaller footprint, it performs like a much bigger machine and is a great option for large jobs, but also compact and maneuverable enough to still be usable on smaller ones. The ES 2000 also meets the requirement for work areas that require zero-emission machinery.
