School season is coming up! Are you ready? One common project that schools like to do while all the kids are away for the summer is reflooring the facility. Whether it’s carpet, VCT, ceramic tile, wood, or some other combination of flooring, we have the floor scrapers for school renovations ready to handle the task. Our industrial floor strippers are perfect for big, open auditoriums and gymnasiums, long carpeted hallways, tight classroom corners, and well-worn cafeterias.
Floor scrapers for wood flooring
Big or small, all our floor scrapers are good for handling the removal of wood flooring. Ride-on floor scrapers are going to be best for big jobs and large spaces, while the smaller walk-behind floor scrapers are best for use on soft subfloors and those small nooks and crannies. Our walk-behind scrapers can also be lifted by a couple workers which is very useful if a facility has no elevator and machines need to be brought up or down flights of stairs.
Floor scrapers for carpeting
Like with wood floor, all of our floor scrapers are built to handle the removal of carpet flooring. Depending on the size of the space, you may want to choose the ES 1300—our newest ride-on scraper model with long run times and changeable battery packs—or one of our smaller, walk-behind floor scrapers to get to those hard-to-reach spaces in individual classrooms. If you have large areas and want an option faster than the ES 1300, perhaps our battery powered ES 2000 might be the perfect option for you with an 8 hour runtime, weight just under 2000 lbs, and speeds of up to 150 ft/minute !
Floor scrapers for vinyl, VCT, and tile flooring
Our walk-behind floor scrapers can handle the removal of tough, glued down vinyl, VCT, and much more. Also, because of their RPM they do a great job with the removal of the stubborn adhesive left behind. Our ES 400S can also be used to remove ceramic tile flooring. However, if you are working in large areas, and speed/efficiency is an important factor then we’d recommend our ride-on floor scraper line. Our ride-on floor scrapers can be used to remove all flooring types, and will work far more efficiently in large spaces like gyms, lunchrooms, hallways, etc.
